The Students’ Union Government was at Ekehuan campus yesterday, in a courtesy visit to greet and ascertain the well-being of the students. We were delighted at the warm welcome that graced our presence. Ekehuan campus remains the hub of tranquility and accommodating spirit in Edo state and the pride of UNIBEN. Interaction brings understanding, and with this guide, the Union works effectively. All concerns raised by the student will be taken up by the Union to the Management to ensure that it's addressed.
The Golden Age Executives led by Comr. Egwu Lotanna Benjamin went further to the Manager of Uniben Table Water Factory. This was necessitated by the various concerns raised by the students on the hygienic state of the water. The manager explained that, the reason for the salty taste was due to the time the water was stored unconsumed.
The water was then sent to the Eco-toxiocology department for proper data analysis and evaluation. He then assured us that, the water would be improved upon on subsequent production.
The Union is also constructing a five aside pitch at Ekehuan campus. The project was made possible by the dogged effort of the Assistant Secretary General, Comr Ehiriobo Lucky. We are glad at the progress made so far. We believe soonest it will be opened for sporting activities.
Finally, we paid a visit to the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekehuan campus, Prof John Oghene. We spoke at length on issues that pertains to the students well-being and the DVC pledged his unending support to assist the Union in achieving its goal.
The entire members of Golden Age Executives want to say a big thanks to all student of Ekehuan campus for their warm welcome. This has rekindled our commitment to protect the interest of all UNIBEN students.
