The SUG PRESIDENT speaks on the NO SCHOOL FEES NO EXAM POLICY Saying that the school Authority needs funds to run the school and encourage the students to pay their school fees to avoid Late Payment charges of N10,000

 

Union Update

The attention of the Executive President Students’ Union Government has been drawn to the presumptuous attitude of students towards examination invigilators/supervisors following the misinterpretation of the update released on 8th day of March, 2021 by the judicial arm of the SUG item No. 2; *“stating that every students has the right to write exams without paying school fees – that the only impediment is withdrawal of results”.*

 As your President, I deem it fit to clarify such press statement. The leadership of the Students’ Union Government has appeal to the university authority to put on hold the N10,000 Charge on the late payment of school fees with confidence that students will comply. The GOLDEN AGE EXECUTIVES ,therefore encourage students to pay their school fees on time before the activation of late payment charge on the school portal.

“The University like any other educational institution is established primarily for the purpose of providing appropriate education for students, the appropriateness of the education that the University provides is dependent on the extent to which the education develops the student culturally and how much of good character it inculcates in the students. This is why University Degree is awarded to the recipients (students) on the basis of good character and satisfactory learning”. Therefore, students should obey invigilators instructions during the ongoing examination.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) is saddled with the responsibility of advocating, protecting the interest and welfare of the students, also encourage and promote the harmonious interaction between students, staff, management of the University and the general public. In order to serve you better, we advise the students to always be of good conduct and channel all their complaints to the leadership of the union.

As you walk into the examination hall, remember that you were born to achieve great things in life, May all the luck of the universe be your companion in the examination hall.

Arm yourself with the can-do spirit  and you shall pass the examination in grand style . I am absolutely certain of that. Best of luck.
